THE MEDLEY OF MOMENTS THAT LEAD US HERE

 

OUT YNDR CLUB emerged in 2021 as a thought bubble, inspired by the juggle and muddle I faced as a first-time mum. During that first year of parenting, my daughter’s granny began caring for her one day a week. I was deep into the daily huffs and puffs of packing and managing a baby bag - then quickly realised how much harder it was going to be for someone else, who hadn’t even packed it themselves.

That moment sparked the idea: there had to be something better - thoughtfully designed for mums and the wider family, something that simply worked.

Over 15 years experience in design and product development, allowed the curiosity - to imagine what that “better” could look like. I knew there were simple, intuitive solutions that could bring so much more ease, joy, and flow to everyday family life.

That’s when the excitement truly began. What immediately sprung to mind was a backpack that could transform into a hanging organiser. But as I dove deeper into the design process - and life evolved from newborn to toddler to baby number two - so did the vision.

3 years later, my family had used and developed this design, seeing it through four sample stages to meet the compatibility of our evolving family. Until now; Arty is 2, Penny is 4, and this bag is more loved by our family than ever. Many days I now catch myself in a half smile about the ease one of the features provides, and that is something that I am beyond excited to share!

WHY THE NAME?

 

Originally, we named the brand Medley Australia. The name came to me quickly when designing the bag - it felt like the perfect way to describe a collection of thoughtful features, all bundled into one parenting toolkit. (Plus, as a former swimmer, the word medley had a personal connection, too.)

But as time went on, and the vision for the brand grew, I began to see things differently. I realised it wasn’t just about creating clever products - it was about encouraging families to get outside, together, from the very beginning.

Because I know firsthand that when the days felt overwhelming or chaotic, getting outside was always the reset I needed. It brought calm, joy, and connection - for both me and my little ones.

That’s what OUT YNDR CLUB is really about: making it easier for parents to embrace the outdoors, with products designed to support the journey.

And Medley will always have it’s place, as the name of our original baby bag.
