When the walls are closing in, get outside.
Parenting Tips

When the walls are closing in, get outside.

A little fresh air might be exactly what you BOTH need.

You know those days.

The laundry is piling up, the kitchen looks like a bomb's gone off, you've reheated your coffee three times and somehow it's only 10am.

The baby's unsettled, you're feeling frazzled, and the walls are starting to close in.

There's a million things you should be doing.

But you know what?

LEAVE IT. GET OUTSIDE.

Seriously. The laundry isn't going anywhere. (Unfortunately.)

Sometimes, a little fresh air and a change of scenery is exactly what you both need.

And the best part? Babies are pretty easily impressed.

Leaves blowing in the wind? Fascinating. Birds chirping? Incredible. A stick on the ground? Pure entertainment.

Meanwhile, you get a moment to breathe, a change of scenery and maybe even a coffee that hasn't been microwaved three times.

And it doesn't need to be a big adventure.

A walk around the block. A picnic rug in the backyard. A wander through the park. Ten minutes sitting under a tree.

It all counts.

Because here's the thing. As parents, there will ALWAYS be something that needs doing. If we wait until the house is tidy and the washing is finished before getting out and enjoying life, we'll never leave!

So next time you're feeling overwhelmed, the baby's cranky and the house looks like a disaster zone...

Pack the bag. Leave the laundry. Get outside.

A little fresh air might just turn the whole day around.

And when you get home?

You’ll be thankful you gave a little happiness to both, your baby AND yourself today.

Happy adventuring!
